What we are doing today...
Guess where we are going today...
Trinity's very first riding lesson!
Trinity had a difficult time back in the hospital with the physical therapy. I remember it being the most difficult thing we had to do, because it was really uncomfortable for her to use her hand after the accident.
Regardless, I knew that if we didn't do the rehab she wouldn't regain full mobility, and she had to do the exercises to stretch the skin while it grew back.
A couple of the streches we did were...
Pick up the ball, and making a tent stretches.
Every day she had to use the hand more and more until it worked normally.
One day, when she was having a hard time with therapy, I remembered that she has a fascination with horses, and if she were ever going to ride one, she would have to be able to use both hands. I reminded her that if her hands were going to get better so she could ride, she had to work for it. It kept her going.
Today, we get to see how we did.
I am excited for her, and I promised her I'd take a picture, so she could remember today. I'll post it asap, and let you know how it went.
Thanks for all your support, because now that she's doing really well, I realize that the healing wasn't just for her either. I think the biggest things that helped us through were...
Faith that things would get better.
A long term plan.
And celebrating the milestones.
(I can't stress how much this helped us move through, day by day.)
Pictures to come...

I must have watched this video about a million times
during Trin's recovery.
For some reason it always made me feel better,

Trinity Modeling...
Apparently, Trinity wants to become a runway model.
Right... This recent career choice influence was brought on by watching about ten minutes of Americas Next Top Model. My mistake.
Not that Trin isn't "model" material, but I think with the scars she would probably be better off shooting photography than posing. I told her she should take photography classes if she wants to get into the field.
What do you think? What would you encourage her to do?
She has a disturbing fascination with striking a pose.
